Main causes of elbow pain

Elbow pain is a common complaint that can be caused by a variety of factors. Some common causes of elbow pain include:

  1.  Tennis elbow: Tennis elbow, also known as lateral epicondylitis, is an overuse injury that occurs when the tendons in the elbow are strained or torn.
  2.  Golfers elbow: Golfers elbow, also known as medial epicondylitis, is a similar overuse injury that affects the tendons on the inner side of the elbow.
  3.  Fractures: A fracture, or a broken bone, can also cause elbow pain.
  4.  Bursitis: Bursitis is an inflammation of the bursae, small fluid-filled sacs that cushion the joints, which can cause pain and swelling in the elbow.
  5.  Tendinitis: Tendinitis is an inflammation of the tendons in the elbow, which can cause pain and stiffness.
  6.  Arthritis: Osteoarthritis and other types of arthritis can cause inflammation and pain in the elbow joint.
